Vernissage at Werkforum Dotternhausen

On May 7, 2025, the Remote Sensations exhibition opened its doors at the Werkforum Dotternhausen, offering visitors a breathtaking journey through satellite imagery. The vernissage was a pleasure – an evening filled with curiosity, conversation, and admiration for the intricate patterns of our planet as seen from space. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who traveled far to attend, making the event even more special. Your presence and engagement were truly appreciated. We also extend our gratitude to the museum staff for their excellent collaboration in bringing this exhibition to life.

Among the many striking images, the resemblance between the satellite view of the Nile Delta and the delicate structure of sea lilies (crinoids) was particularly fascinating. These sea lilies, a part of the museum’s permanent exhibition, share an uncanny similarity with the branching waterways of the delta, highlighting nature’s recurring patterns across vastly different scales.

The exhibition will be on display until August 27, 2025, so there’s still time to experience this unique perspective on our world!
